From Pixels to Physical: The Ultimate File Preparation Guide for CustoMew Custom Merch

Basic Specs: Resolution & Size

Pixel quality determines the crispness of your merch. Always set your file to 300 DPI with at least 1000 pixels on the longest side. Even for a 1-piece order (No MOQ), we maintain the highest clarity standards.

1-on-1 Confirmation: Protecting Your Creativity

At CustoMew, you don't have to worry about imperfect files. We provide 1-on-1 design confirmation. Before production, our team will double-check the cutlines, hole placements, and white ink layers with you to ensure a 100% match with your vision.

Color Space: RGB vs. CMYK

There is a natural gap between screen colors (RGB) and printed ink (CMYK).
Pro Tip: Switch to CMYK before exporting. For our Colored Edge Acrylic, keep the background transparent to let the edge color pop.

Cutting Process: Laser vs. CNC

Laser Cutting: Uses heat to create smooth, flame-polished edges. Best for intricate internal cutouts.

CNC Machining: Uses a rotating bit for a matte, vertical finish. Since bits are round, our designers will adjust all internal corners to a smooth radius (Fillet at least 1 mm) to ensure structural strength and aesthetic quality. AI or DXF vector formats are highly preferred.

White Ink & Special Materials

For Star Holo Diamond Acrylic, reduce white ink opacity if you want the "starry" effect to shine through. For a stained-glass effect, keep those elements on a separate layer named "White Ink Layer".

Final Checklist

  • Format: PSD/PNG/AI/PDF/CDR preferred. Files require 300 resolution and 1000 pixels or more; vector files are highly recommended.
  • Color & Margins: The clear border is 2.5 mm by default. Use CMYK color mode (RGB files will result in colors darker than expected).
  • Naming: DesignName_Quantity_#AccessoryNumber (e.g., MewCharm_1_#B3).
  • Confidence: Remember, we offer a 60-day after-sales guarantee for total peace of mind.
